A New Challenge in Traditional Lost Wax Bronze Casting

“Considering the huge achievement, we asked Artshell to support us again, creating the graphics for the 4th edition of our Sculpture Prize, the Battaglia Foundry Sculpture Prize.”

“The Fifth edition of this year's prize will soon begin and once again we joined a leading company for digital archiving and management of contemporary art. A company that always supported and implemented all our digital activities and publications, and one that we are proud to work and collaborate with!”

Case Study

Thanks to one of Artshell's latest innovations, the "Events" section, our entire communication changed completely: we can create beautiful presentations for our events and immediately share texts, images and videos related to our exhibitions and residencies, with a simple link

We chose Artshell to organize our digital archive of current and historical works two years ago. We were very impressed by the platform's high quality and safety standards and we immediately understood the program's potential: after a year we were among the first to entrust Artshell with our website, through the Website Integration Plan, which allows us to link the Artshell archive directly to a modern and dynamic website. This integration allowed us to reinvent our newsletters, which are now easy to implement, due to the direct communication with archive contents, and easy to monitor, thanks to the native tracking and data collection system

Founded in 1913 in Milan as a lost wax artistic bronze foundry, the Battaglia Artistic Foundry boasts a century-old tradition. Now as yesterday it continues to work together with the greatest names in Italian and international sculpture, also operating as an all-round cultural institution. It focuses heavily on teaching artists and designers and promoting art and design developments, acting as a driving force for new artistic ideas. With Open Studio, Battaglia involves young artists and designers by teaching them the technique to create their first bronze sculpture; at the same time, with the Sculpture Prize, it selects and rewards artists through a jury of professionals active in the international contemporary art scene. Since 2010, it established a Restoration Department, able to study and solve all the complex issues related to the conservation and restoration of bronze artifacts of all ages.
